Unveiling kingdom of God: Our core beliefs

At Church of Philadelphia Assembly, our journey begins with a singular, profound focus: seeking the Kingdom of God. Inspired by Matthew 6:33, we believe that when we prioritize God's kingdom and His righteousness, all that we need will be graciously provided. Discover the foundational truths that guide our faith, purify our hearts, and empower us to live purposeful lives in Orlando and Winterpark Florida, and beyond. We invite you to explore the principles that illuminate our path and unite us as a community.

A sincere call to repentance

Central to our faith at Church of Philadelphia Assembly is the sincere call for repentance. As highlighted in Matthew 3:2, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” We believe that true spiritual awakening begins with turning away from sin and toward God. Our weekly services emphasize this transformative process, preparing believers for a deeper connection with the Lord, especially before partaking in the Lord's Supper. Experience the liberating power of forgiveness and a renewed spirit with us.

Building unwavering faith

Beyond repentance, we passionately encourage all believers to trust and believe the infallible teachings of the Bible, building an unwavering faith in God. We understand that without faith, it is impossible to please Him. Through diligent study and heartfelt prayer, we equip our congregation to internalize God's word, allowing it to become the bedrock of their lives. Join us in cultivating a faith that moves mountains and anchors your soul, confident in God's supernatural works and miracles.

The born-again experience & divine love

At Church of Philadelphia Assembly, we guide and encourage every believer to experience the 'born again' transformation. As Jesus declared in John 3:3, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." This spiritual rebirth is fundamental to entering God's Kingdom. Furthermore, we live by Christ's two greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind," and "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-39). Our church is a charismatic community built on this profound love, embracing and supporting everyone around us through the whole counsel of the Bible.

Statement of Faith

(Our Doctrines)

1. Holy Scripture

(Doctrine of the Scriptures)

We hold all 66 books of the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God—our sole sacred and Holy Scripture.

We believe that the true message of Scripture is understood only through the whole counsel of God as revealed in the entire Bible. Consequently, we do not accept or teach doctrines built on isolated passages that fail to align with the complete, unified revelation of God's Word.

We do not accept or acknowledge any extra-biblical writings, including the Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha, Gnostic Gospels, or the Book of Mormon, as divinely inspired.

Scripture References: Matthew 4;4 Timothy 3:16; Galatians 1:8

2. Divinity

(Doctrine of One God in Three Natures)

We believe in the one true God (Yahweh), who eternally exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son (Immanuel—God with us), and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal, co-eternal, and of one essence. We believe that God created all things through His Word, and that this Word became flesh and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus Christ.

Scripture References: Acts 14:15; Jeremiah 32:17; Ephesians 3:20; Psalm 139:1-4; 1 Samuel 2:6-9; Psalm 24:1; John 1:1-14

3. Virgin Birth

(Doctrine of the Virgin Conception)

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Word of God, was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, taking on real human flesh and blood.

Scripture References: Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:26-33

4. Sin

 (Doctrine of Sin)

We confess that all of humanity has sinned, fallen short of the glory of God, and become spiritually separated from Him. Consequently, humanity stands in urgent need of reconciliation through salvation from the consequences of sin. Jesus Christ came to earth specifically to reconcile humanity to the Father in heaven.

Scripture References: Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

5. Section V: Salvation

(Doctrine of Christ's Work)

We proclaim that Jesus Christ lived a completely sinless life. As the Son of God, He paid the penalty for our sins and is uniquely qualified as our Great High Priest, cleansing us from sin through the shedding of His holy blood.

Scripture References: 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5

6. Salvation

(Doctrine of Salvation)

We declare that salvation is found in no one else, but through the name of Jesus Christ alone. Furthermore, we believe that Jesus Christ was bodily resurrected from the dead, is alive forevermore, and reigns in glory with the Father.

Scripture References: John 14:6; John 3:16; John 10:17-18; Romans 1:4; Romans 5:8

7. Eternity

Article VIII (Doctrine of Final Judgment)

We believe that those who reject the salvation offered through Jesus Christ will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
